Furnace Repair Service. Upon arrival at the residential home found the limit switch on the system was in need of replacement. Performed replacement of the limit switch, to improve performance with the home’s furnace. The customer was happy on departure.

When arrived, the boiler was off on reset. Reset the control and the burner started with a flame, after 15 seconds of it lighting the burner went off on reset. Checked fuel flow. Checked the ohms, the cad cell was reading 3,240 ohms, the cad cell eye is not seeing the flame correctly. Removed the nozzle assembly, the nozzle was dirty. Performed a heating p.m. on the oil boiler. Brushed and vacuumed. Replaced the oil filter, nozzle, and strainer. I checked safeties. Performed a combustion test, 5.2% O2, 8 ppm CO, 0 smoke, 82.2% Efficient. Cleaned and adjusted the cad cell eye, the control is no reading 560 ohms. The system is operating properly.
